Wasn't it Oliver Wendell Holmes who said that he thought the worst fate that could befall a U.S. citizen was to be a defendant in an American court room? And that's just for a bogus traffic stop. MIxed feelings about how it ended, I took the easy way out instead of standing up to and challenging bogus charges. But twenty years of law convinced me it wouldn't be a level playing field. With two teenage daughters driving, I couldn't take a chance that my auto insurance premium would grow to be more then my mortgage payment. A
