it is much more complicated than my post would suggest.

I respect your intelligence, but this is where we disagree.

This is not quantum mechanics. This is about good and evil.

If we do the right thing and if we do not contribute to evil, in this case, that is more than half the battle.

It is pretty much like mixed doubles in tennis. How often do we see one partner (usually the man - but that is beside the point ggg) blaming the partner for not understanding how to play correctly (complex strategy - whatever) - when if he only eliminated his own unforced errors, their chances improve immensly. But I digress.

for other reasons they wanted us to occupy Iraq and THEY were willing to pay the costs. Even they, however, underestimated the complexity of the problems, underestimated the passion and power of everyday people and overestimated our power to enforce our will a half a world away in a culture we don't understand. What does this tell us.....simple solutions to complex problems don't work

The only thing this tells us (you are forcing me to be highly partisan and saying unkind things) is not put into office untreated alcoholics who want immediate gratification without having to do any thinking when confronted with problems.
