If Delay's lawyer and the Republican party think that the Texas judge handling his case should recuse himself because he is a registered Democrat, then I wonder what their stand would be against prosecutor Fitzgerald who is a registered Republican and is investigating the Republican White House scandal. It is preposterous to insinuate that our judicial officials are biased. Judges all the time treat cases where the defendants are not from the same race as they are. Why doesn't Delay and his lawyers think that they would be biased there also? Beats me.
