American Express definitely should expect McCormick and Savvis to pay their corporate charge card.
McCormick indeed needs to pay for what he "got", whether services rendered or drinks bought.
Thank you for the post - please keep posting info on any sleazy companies so I can be sure to avoid the people from them. A CEO attending a strip bar and having his company pay for this, is really walking close to establishing an attitude about women that could indeed get him in trouble. This isn't the 80s.
On an unrelated note, regarding your friend that was killed in China - I believe this was not due to China's government - though the circumstances are agreeably suspicious. However, the people whose lives truly are at risk in China are reporters that are trying to cause change, activits, monks, not business entrepreneurs. What I believe China's govt is very guilty of, is hiding this murder from the public by witholding distribution thru their press probably in their attempt to not scare away other American entrepreneurs - which of course has the absolutely opposite effect, because we Americans are always very suspicious when any govt hides info. However, one of my Chinese friends tells me Karoke bars that are located by the tourist centers (where your friend probably was) was (back then) the new place for people to get pirated software. A lot of hightech people will just go and check this out, and I think your friend was too curious. There's probably a huge difference if a sales manager checks out pirated software out of curiosity, versus an entrepreneur that probably doesn't like pirated software so maybe some gang may have felt threatend by him, would be my guess. Related to a different country, I've been told by my friends to temper my curiosity for safety reasons and was advised that curiosity can kill the cat - there are thugs in this world that can feel very threatened when people ask too many questions or are curious.
