Me of course: <who do you think?>
Nipping the top and backfilling the bottom of volatility in a share price, or commodity cost, is useful, but not especially valuable.
After a decade of successful speculating, and asking oneself, "What have I achieved which has elevated humanity?" one could feel a little empty. Especially if one found one had gained from naive widows, and unfortunate fathers saving for their children's education.
Which I know is not all you do TJ. I have seen photos of a great little one year old for example. Now THAT's creating serious value. Which would you prefer to bury in a big hole in the ground permanently, a tranche of oil, gas and energy stocks, and maybe even throw in a few Aztec trinkets or even ingots, or Ai Li?
It's interesting how we value things. I'm not sure how to value our respective creations, investments or efforts, nor would I want to have to do so. Yet, weirdly, we do. But it's fun to indulge in a bit of silly bluster.
My CDMA cyberphones are worth more than your gold ingots.
