kennyboy: get a cup of coffee and read this I did some serious research on the global warming question... it seems we had ever more severe hurricanes during the 30's and 40's but they were over shadowed by the war at the time... for example, in 1938 a cat 5 hurricane hit as far north as Boston... we had severe drought and the dust bowl, and so on... people were then claiming the world was coming to an end... then we had a period from the 50's to the 90's where the planet cooled and there was all the rage about the coming ice age... now, the planet is warming once again, we're seeing more Atlantic hurricanes, but this is merely part of the overall long term cycle of weather... any argument which blames global warming on American SUV's and U.S. commerce is really short sighted, it only shows a political agenda and loses any credibility as a result...
