Dennis: Sorry for the slow response to your question about why bats are popular in Austin, Texas. Austin is home to the world's largest urban bat colony of over 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats living under a bridge here. I guess because of that, and Austin's conservation-oriented mentality, bats are very popular. I've been trying to get Rainforest Cafe to push bats a little more, since they really don't carry many bat-related items.
