MOC orders...

I use Ameritrade. I guess they're considered a discount broker, but certainly more for trades there than Brown, last time I checked. (Ameritrade is $ 11 per trade, $22 round trip).

I haven't had any problems with moc orders so far. Of course , with a buy order ( or buy to close a short position) I wouldn't expect any. It's dicier with short orders....because of the uptick rule and possible availability limitations, moc short orders may not get filled. For that reason, if I'm going to short that particular day, I'll pick two good candidates...one I'll place as a moc order, the other I'll try to short about a minute or so before the close.
