Dale, here's a bit more on the Zuma issue.

This, from a right-wing, SAn white. I have to say, I won't be voting for the ANC -- yet. But if the party splits, as it may well do, the situation will be very fascinating -- and worrying.

>>4. It pleases me to see that most people dislike the new female vice President! This can only be bad news for Mbeki and the ANC. But, in my chats to Blacks, they have said, there is no doubt in their minds that she will be gone in the next election and that she will be replaced by a Black man who will be much more popular.

5. There is another point which nobody makes: Mbeki's actions were bought, at face value by many Whites, and probably almost all Liberals. However, it is among the BLACK ELECTORATE that we see the sudden spread of conspiracy theories! That Mbeki's actions have caused severe dissension amongst Blacks can surely not be good news inside the ANC.

As far as I see it, this poll clearly shows that Mbeki has done a pretty good job of splitting his own party along 60/40 lines! Nice going. Viva Mbeki! If he carries on like this, I think I'll start voting for the ANC!! <<
