You're an idiot if you think we're making progress in Iraq. All we're doing is wasting American lives and treasure, exactly as we did in the mistake of Vietnam. It's a fools errand to attempt to force democracy by the barrel of a gun. The chimp never learned it. Personally speaking (and only my opinion), if democracy does not immediately take root in this country, then I can handle a secular non-democratic government institution that shares the view that Islamic militancy is not only dangerous to the world at large, but also as much an affront to moderate Muslims, as Christian Militants like Eric Rudolph, or pseudo-christian groups such as the the Aryan Nations, are to moderate Christians. The conditions that have resulted in this recent Islamic Militancy didn't just happen yesterday. The trend has been long in development, and it will take time (as well as blood and treasure) to quash it. You, on the other hand.. offer nothing but Appeasement and Ostrich like indifference to what is happening in the Muslim world. Hawk
