"If the senators had known Bush's intel was phony I'm sure they would not have voted to give him war powers" There was NO serious scrutiny of ANY evidence--either the faked WMD stuff of Bush OR THE TOTALLY CONTRARY PUBLIC ON THE RECORD EVIDENCE of Blix and El Baradei. The reason they did not know if the rationale was phoney was BECAUSE THEY DID NOT EXAMINE THE RATIONALE. It's OK for all of us to have opinions and you are free to say "I 'm sure that..." but what makes you so sure, in light of the public record OF THE TIME, not now, THEN? Namaste! Jim
