Henry: Good point. Perhaps in designing their placebo, they made it so similar to Lidakol that they "overshot" and made the placebo active. I assumed that they just chose a relatively inert ingredient similar to vaseline jelly as the placebo.

Your're probably right on the 1994 stock weakness due to Dorfman. Like I said, I might not have the exact date in my memory. I know that there were some positive Phase I and II trials, but wasn't the very last Phase II trial disappointing? The point is somewhat moot, since Phase I and II are not designed to examine efficacy, as we pointed out earlier.
