I feel you are on a total retreat here, totally ignoring my earlier reply to your very same points. While you've emphasized the trade issue here, my point that the difference between "us and them," as it were, is terribly significant when considering our actions in Iraq is ignored....no sign that you've thought it through vis-a-vis your arguments.

For what it's worth, diplomacy was never going to be more effective in Iraq than what we've done instead, IMHO.
