Meathead, I like your take on the big screen market, lots of folks want them (at least until gas hit 3 bucks and before we get our winter natural gas heating bills here in the northeast <ggg>). My only gotcha is how many folks will want to actually 'see' these screens before they buy, and how well Dell can do ship/install of these systems on a mass scale. I know Dell has kiosks in various locations around the country, but not that many last time I looked, and certainly not like going to your local Best Buy and checking out 50 screens. I wonder if anyone has numbers on how many folks purchase installation with low end home theater, you are still talking about 4k-5k minimum with a decent 42" plasma, good HTIB speakers and a DVD player/receiver. There are quite a few confusing issues with color setup, cabling (DVI, HDMI, composite video, on and on), so perhaps more folks are going for the service, as I see local chains such as Best Buy offer them.
