John, I had DirecTV right from the start (1994?) and switched to DISH a few years ago as soon as those built in DVR boxes came out..and it is the BOMB!! We Love it and is a few bucks a month cheaper than the GMH gig for the same channels. If you're into the NFL package...then DirecTV is the only game in town...but to be honest I have not compared the 2 offerings lately on which is the "best deal". I'm sure there is some chat & blogs that can fill you in...Google it up! Trashy
