The reasons we were given for the invasion all turned out to be a crock. We were told Iraq posed an "imminent" threat to the United States because of its WMDs and potential nuclear capabilities. So why are we there if none of the threats existed?

Bush never said Iraq was an imminent threat. He said we should attack before they become an imminent threat.

How is it directly benefitting the United States?

Because Saddam was aiding terrorists, and it creates a democracy in the middle of Islam.

I know it is benefitting Haliburton and other energy types, but who else...

Actually this is a good thing.

I thought Osama bin Laden was the guy that threatened America, how come he gets off easy?

IMO he died at Torra Borra. But intercepted messages have discovered that we "took their breath away" in Afghanistan, and he or other leaders are begging for money.

In fact, invading Iraq, imo, played right into his hands, considering Iraq is now world central for terrorist training...

Hardly, and if it were not for the as wipes on the left we would be in Iran by now.
