It's ironic, but one day people may look back and realize that things like HIV and SARS and avian flu were the greatest thing since sliced bread, because these things have triggered a quantum leap in immunology, which had been pretty much asleep before HIV rolled in. Now, we are light years ahead of where we were 25 years ago, and this will continue to drive tremendous advances in treatments, diagnoses, and just plain understanding how diseases work. Talk about every dark cloud has a silver lining..... T
