I never use the pink sheets quotes. I get bid/ask quotes from the foreign exchange, convert them into dollars, and place a limit order on the basis of that figure. I consider that being cheated out of 1% or even more is just part of the cost of doing business, and for long term holdings (if you are right) it's a trivial cost.
