Someone noted that, outside of elections, Republicans can look at things like gasoline prices, endless idiotic war, corruption, etc. and blame Republicans. When it comes to casting a vote, though, they still end up with gays/guns/god, roe and party loyalty. I wonder if the Dems can stick to pocketbook issues: it's always the economy stupid but this time it's all of the other related issues of pension plans, bankruptcy laws, medicare/medicaid, energy costs, hurricane costs, war costs, deficit, debt and rising rates.
If they can make it clear that Republicans not only steal but that they can't balance a checkbook to save their lives (see Iraq), is that enough to kick gays/guns/god/roe/party off the ticket? |
