You are confused.

There was never any perjury whose intention was to take us to war. The only perjury under discussion relates to the possibility of perjury during the Fitzgerald investigation. You might recall that it began long after the war was launched.

IF perjury was committed, it was committed to discredit Ambassador Wilson on his findings in Niger wrt to Iraqi purchase of nuclear material. That occurred before the war started. Otherwise there would be no reason for anyone to commit perjury.

And perjury and its subornation are still crimes, whether or not, and perhaps especially if, the actor happens to be Prez.

I personally disliked Clintons personal behavior and expressed it on SI at the time. But, we still adhere to the rule of law. Refresh my memory. When was he convicted of perjury?
