BTW your argument is a bit off. There are two major factors to the increasing crude prices..........demand from China has grown exponentially since the late 1990s and Iraq. While there is not a shortage per se, supply is so unpredictable that every pipeline blowup in Iraq or employee strike in Venezuela or uprising in Nigeria causes oil to spike up. It pretty much started when Bush invaded Iraq.
