my company's contract with aetna doesn't cover flu shots.

I see. It wasn't clear to me where you got your shot. When I was working, my employer set up a clinic in the office and just handed out the shots. It was separate from any health insurance that employees might have.

I thought most companies did that nowadays because it costs them less to inoculate everyone than to have people out with the flu.
