Tom & Bill, I hate to burst your bubbles (I'm very long AAM), but maybe the road show is strictly damage control. I still think there's $4 in this stock on takeover speculation. They are a company with a business model very much in trouble. They have lots of paper they securitized which is in violation of terms because of prepayments etc. Because of this they won't collect fresh cash from loans and must fund loans from borrowings. Why the heck are they offering to pay a dividend with a debt to equity ratio of 1.4 to 1?? Call me very worried.
