Things are heating up again over Iran. The recent statement made by the new guy running Iran is unbelievably stupid and will work against the interests of Iran and the entire Muslim world. It is just as stupid as the Syrians' assassination of Hariri. So stupid in fact, that one might be tempted to say it could not have happened. But it apparently did. All of this does nothing for the Muslim cause except hinder and isolate them in world opinion. The wild card is of course Russia and China. It will be extremely interesting to see how far their support for Iran and Syria will go. The whole thing has consequences far exceeding that which preceded the Iraq conflict.

And Israel is of course making the best of it. Can't blame them for that.
