The French were in Vietnam causing the terrorism. We took over for the French. AT first it worked, since JFK was waging a very limited Green Beret type operation, not even a war, but once we sent army and marines the whole thing exploded.

We now have 161,000 troops in Iraq from some 25,000 overpaid Halliburton types. Time to end this charade. That war was never about our national security in the first place. It was about some neocon oilman's dream.
