Plame's operations in the Middle East are classified, but her outing may have blown and endangered countless assets and key operations. One thing we know, she was working out of Bulgaria with an energy consultant cover while she was really a secret agent on WMD in the Middle East. We don't know if that ended, or when it did. Her living in DC recently has nothing to do with it. She could have been slated for more overseas work any time, but now her cover is blown. The worst part of this is that the CIA will now have a harder time recruiting agents and assets at the time we need them most.
