Why would that be? If the oems have something that requires flash and they are also using Intel chips, the Apple/Samsung situation would be a negative to Intel because nand flash shortage indirectly gates these other Intel sales, no?

If you say no (and you could be right), then that implies there are two distinct tracks of shortages going in the supply chain that are very separate and unrelated and if so, then Apple isn't using strong-arm tactis, but instead the market simply has high demand.

PS Maybe the OEM's inflated Q4 projections (Intel's CC) will actually prove to be correct after all ?
