I think the key word is "crimes". The kind of "crimes" the Bushies are really guilty of are the "high crimes and misdemeanor" kind that are determined by the House, not written in a lawbook. Knowingly pimping bad intel to start a war may be such, but it's not one Fitzgerald can charge anyone with. If the Dems don't win the House in '06, the Bushies and neocons may well get away with it.
