Well, I'm not surprised. The US public and military likes results, in a reasonable timeframe aka pretty quick results, not a quagmire where 2,000 troops die so far, with no end in sight, and no positive resolution in sight.
I think the US public would have supported a stronger attack/response in the Afghanistan/Pakistan area - whether Pakistan agreed or not - that would have eliminated most of Al Qaeda hiding in the hills there - by any means necessary.
Get it, get it done, get out.
That's what most people want - not this stuff where we stay in place with 100K plus troops for 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 years... |
