Yeah, that kind of touchy-feely stuff is hard to quantify but I suspect a sentiment like that is significant somehow. I can't remember who it was but yesterday someone in the press said something like, "hey!....good news is being bought!" in reference to the GDP. They seemed surprised unless it was a facetious comment.

So the market held up though a lot of crap (through Aug-Oct the SPX dropped all of 5% off the multi-year highs), created a lot of bearish sentiment measures, and is now being bought on good news. That intuitively seems bullish. Many charts are coming into line now as well.
