Elroy, This is the interesting (and seldom talked about) part, when you guys stop complaining about what has happened and advocate your own solutions to the world's problems.

I've pointed this out repeatedly to our fellow "moderates," but they are too stubborn and close-minded to "get it." They pretend that they can see shades of grey, but in reality, they have their own black-n-white view of the world. "Nuance" is just an excuse to draw the line wherever they choose just to cover themselves and condemn the other side.

What you and Elroy fail to acknowledge that doing nothing is a legitimate option. That leaving what happens in Iraq up to the Iraqis and not the US is a reasonable position to take. You think that the US must do something because that's what your leaders tell you must happen. Sometimes doing something is doing nothing.

Just take a look at how polarized this thread has become. A true moderate can see both sides of any issue. The false "moderates" are just plain hypocrites. Same old same old. Nothing is new under the sun ... a truth I learned ten years ago, and I'm still younger than most of the regulars here.

If you had learned truth ten years ago, you would haven't voted for Bush the second time. You are either the consummate liar or don't have a clue as to what constitutes truth. Its your failure to recognize or ignore the truth...take your pick.......that has led to the polarization of the thread. If you were dealing in truth, you would have come to my side a long time ago.
