Strike the word "baby-killer" from your vocabulary. It's a sick, dishonest and frankly evil way of saying one defends a woman's right not to make decisions about her own body. I notice only extremist rightwing MEN use it.

GOP former Senator Alan SImpson on TV the other night castigating rightwing extremists who accused him and Bush Sr. of being "baby-killers". He said those kind of people have too much influence and not his idea of honest conservatives. He also said men should not be able to vote on issues pertaining only to0 womens bodies. And vice versa.

Barry Goldwater shared this view. Ronald Reagan and even GW Bush were/are quite moderate in their views toward abortion, though GW won't admit it. In fact GW had two girls aborted in the 70's he knocked up. Also, all the most popular GOP leaders now are pro-choice. Plus, this debate is really about rightwing prudishness, their demonization of sex in general, not abortions. The rightwing also love the abortion issue for fundraising and don't really want Woe V. Wadse changed, nor do 75% of Americans.
