What do you think? Does this sound familiar? When he went into office, Texas was running a surplus. When he left, several billion dollars had evaporated and we were running deficits. Grad. students who work at their schools no longer qualify for subsidies for health insurance, since they can only work 20 hours a week, they are considered part time. Tuition and fees have been going up every year. Some colleges and universities have had to cut staff, despite having growing enrollment. It has been a rolling crisis ever since he left.

I don't know why I ask these questions......they only get me more depressed. I have consciously suppressed asking too many questions about his stint as TX governor because I don't want to know how bad it was. Its very hard for me to discern between a total incompetent and the anti Christ [not necessarily in a Biblical sense but I won't preclude that possibility entirely].......is there any chance it's the latter? Seriously. I find it hard to believe that this horrible record of governance can simply be attributed to incompetance; that there has to be conscious intent behind it. A deliberate attempt to destroy the gov't and create anarchy........although I don't know to what end.
