It's not MY preference, it's the Iraqi's preference. They get the vote not you or I. Freedom to be dead or maimed or unemployed or without electricity or without income is not FREEDOM. It's war.
Did the US Taxpayer vote to send WAR to the Iraqis? NO.
Do you even remember the original intent of this war? It was the now totally discredited lie about the imminent threat of WMDs.
Now that this has been proven over and over and over again to be a sexed up lie, the rightwing changes the rationale for war to supposed freedom and democracy. Baloney. The Shiites demanded elections immediately and Bush said NADA.
Bush is the dictator wannabe. He's already said so, in public. His best friends are the Saudis, among the most corrupt, violent, repressive, fundamentalist dictators on the planet. You support Bush, then you support his efforts to provide less accountability for the Presidency and more dictatorial, imperial power.
If YOU support BUSH then you support the imperial presidency = dictatorship.
You're not fighting for freedom, you're fighting for oil and war profiteering. That's not a decent fight. That's not a Christian fight. That's a fight for greed, control, domination, occupation, money and fascism. Don't kid yourself.
In the meantime, the Iraqi so-called government, sees the opportunity to line their own pockets with billions in Iraqi oil money and US taxpayer funds...why shouldn't they want this corruption to continue for as long as possible? Chalabi is laughing all the way down to his felonious shoes at how stupid the US taxpaying public is.
