OH MY GOD. Now you're trotting out the BIG LIE. The BIG LIE that Iraq has anything to do with 911. The BIG LIE that Iraq has anything to do with OBL. The BIG LIE that Iraq has anything to do with AQ terrorism prior to US invasion.

I never said that. And I don't believe the Bush administration ever said Saddam had anything to do with 9/11.

So why don't YOU stop your lying in claiming that I did.

I don't need missing WMDs, or ties to terrorism to make my LEGAL CASE.

Saddam invaded another country. He was militarily defeated and agreed to peace terms that included full disclosure and disarmament of chemical weapons and other WMD programs.

He failed to abide by those cease fire terms (hiding weapons plans, and continuing to design long-range rockets and biological weapons).

He was found in "material breach" by a unanimous decision of the UNSC.

And just prior to this, Bush obtained a legitimate authority to use force fromt the US congress.

So there.. nothing illegimate according to US, or International law.

I know that bothers you to have to acknowledge it, but it's the truth.

But Geo.. terrorist states are more than just Al Qaida. Saddam terrorized Kuwait, the Kurds, and the Shi'ites for years.

In your delusional quest for the "good old days" of Ba'thist tyranny, you seem to have forgotten about the thousands of people who died under his rule. The thousands of children who were taken hostage and imprisoned because their parents had "wronged" the Ba'thist regime somehow..

But guess what.. AL QAI'DA IS IN IRAQ NOW and for some reason you don't want to fight them anywhere but in Afghanistan (or do you even think we should be fighting there?). They are invading this country everyday with Foreign Fighters brainwashed by Salafist Islamic militant clerics charged with recruiting ignorant young people to come here to die (either at their own hand in a suicide bombing, or the hands of coalition forces because we caught them red-handed).

Yes Geo.. Iraq is being invaded by Al Qaida. And I am one of those who believe that Bush has failed to "beat that drum" hard enough. It should be in every speech that he makes related to Iraq policy.. and it should pounded into the heads of the media..

Yes.. Saddam is gone and the Ba'athists have gone to ground, or fled to Syria, Qatar, Dubar, or Yemen... But foreigners, such as Zarqawi have come with their own invasion force in an attempt to create an Islamic state..

And guess what.. They are DEFINITELY NOW being funded by Ba'thists in exile... And the Syrians are involved, and according to some reports, even the Iranians IRGC is involved in insuring that Al Qai'da continues it's operations in Iraq.

All in the name of trying to create instability and waging war upon the Iraqi people through proxies.

So what is your solution? You can B*tch and Moan all you want, but that won't make the problem go away.

So what would you have us do??

Cut and run and let Al Qai'da have Iraq? (at least the Sunni portion)? Let the Iranians annex the Shiite portion?.. Let the Kurds do their own thing?

Btw, there will be NO "political victory" for AQ. They don't believe in democracy, and they have no political party to stand for election and compete against SCIRI. Simply put, the only "victory" they desire will be military, religious, and definitely violent.

And furthermore, it would be plain stupid to permit any political party to participate in a system that they have sworn to tear apart.

You may think it's a Bush Rovian "lie" that AQ would take over.. But I can vouch that this is, in fact, what has happened in the westen part of Iraq, particularly in the Husaybah/Al Qa'im area. They come in, oust the local tribal authorities if they won't play, and create their own "Islamic City" under Sharia law.. Only recently have we seen Sunnis starting to rally against Al Qaida forces in the Anbar province, with varying degrees of success. Face, Al Qaida's foreign fighters are ruthless and offer no quarter. They'll take your life if they even suspect you're a threat.

As for defining Islamo Fascism, it depends upon your definition of the term.

I take my definition from Mussulini himself, substituting the concept of a secular fascist state, for a religious state, or caliphate.

Islamic Fascism meets most of the criteria. It subverts human individual rights to the needs of the religous state, granting only those rights that do not detract from the detriment of the Islamic state, or defy Islamic law (as interpreted, of course, in favor of amplifying state authority over the people).

Look at the Taliban Geo.. They took away all things electronic. TVs, Radios, telephones.. anything that would undermine their authority by providing information that might be contrary to the official government view.

They forced the women to stay inside and uneducated. They continued the practice of honor killings, all things that enhance the power of men over fully 1/2 of any population (women).

And they preach imperialistic empire building in the name of Allah..

If that isn't Fascism, then I don't know what is..

Whatever it is, it's a AVOWED ENEMY of democratic values..

Values by which individual are granted political and economic voice, and leaders made accountable at the ballot box..

.. and they have declared numerous times to destroy the United States and all democratic countries...

But apparently you don't take their threat seriously and are willing to ignore them... Despite all the actions to the contrary that have happened before, during, and after, 9/11..

You need to wake up and smell the coffee...

Btw, feel free to respond to my point in a number of responses.. A lot of territory was covered in mine..
