It is amazing how Arnie squandered such widespread support in such a short period of time. For me, it was his comment about how we can't improve our schools by 'throwing money at the problem'. Per capita spending for schools in California is one of the lowest in the nation. At our local elementary school, we have an annual fund raising drive (one of many) just to fund a library aide to replace the librarian we no longer have due to budget cuts. Otherwise, our library would have to close... Arnie is just another power-crazed alpha male who is realizing that the skills of a celebrity (or businessman) don't translate well into the political arena...
