Production Line for MH/Ni Power Battery Is Formally Begun Reconstruction

¡°Tackling Key Technical Problem for MH/Ni Power Battery¡± has been started to run formally at present, which is the first international inviting public bidding project in Baotoua and is won the tender by Sanoh Industrial Co. Ltd. According to requirement of the first stage on bid document, three technical personnel from Sanoh reached Rare Earth Ovonic Co. Ltd on September 5 and began to evaluate the production line.
The inviting public bidding was supported greatly by Baogang Group Company, the board of directors of which held the meeting to listen to the report about production line for MH/Ni power battery and solved problem of capital shortage. In the mean time Rare Earth Ovonic Company negotiated actively with American Ovonic Company and successfully made Ovonic Company agree to use unpaid money of more than US$ one million for reconstruction of the production line, which laid a food foundation for the project.

According to requirement of bidding document, production capacity will be up to 7 million units with production value of RMB£¤210 million and battery capacity will be increased to 8.5¡À0.26Ah from 7¡À0.5Ah while qualified ratio of product will be improved from 50% to 88% after reconstruction.
