I disagree. Our founding document states quite clearly it is a right gifted to us by our Creator. But it's easily stolen and needs to be defended. What takes precedence...the founding document, our Creator, or real life? The struggle for freedom continues on every continent. The struggle to limit or eliminate freedom does the same. Freedom cannot be stolen if you never had it to begin with. Many Americans voluntarily give up their "gifted" freedoms when they... Don't use them. Move to a foreign land. Are incarcerated for criminal acts. Meanwhile, other people willingly risk death in the pursuit of the dream of freedom.
