"The reality is that when her husband publicly attacked the White House HE disclosed her identity. "

How so? For one, how was it an attack? The White House knew the document was at best questionable, the CIA had been bouncing it for a while. Simply going over the document should have given pause, place names and people names and times were wrong or could not be verified. Wilson pointed that out, hard to see it as an attack. But ok, we will accept you thesis, curious as it is, that in this administration telling the truth is an attack. What rational person would respond by blowing the cover of an agent, the cover organization she worked for and the cover of those who were also at that organization? Much less all the the contacts she met during her trips overseas, surely putting some of their lives in danger and given future prospects some pause. This is tantamount to killing a fly by burning down someone's house. Given that she in particular was an operative on WMD, you think they would have approved of her job if not her husband.
