I think you are looking at what was and not what is.
SGI is no longer the company that it was------it has
gone in different directions while retaining some of the past.
The French Air Force Contract is just one example of how SGI has built on its previous experience to provide state of the art(scientific) work for the FAF.
From my reading, SGI is a desirable company with their technology sought after by many sources. Forensics, medical, defense, institutional research, NASA,film work, robotics in America---then head over to France, England, Germany, Japan, Australia etc.
Reg. NOC-------do a Google search on NOC and SGI-----the references, recent and past, are numerous to the two.
