That freefall in PC pricing is one of the things I see as the big risks for NCs. Seems to me that there is one market for a $200-300 appliance, but is there another market for NCs between that and PC that have fallen through the $1000 level like it had never been there? Don't forget too that new hot technology comes along, lots of people will upgrade to the latest thing, fueling a trickle down of older boxes. A few years back those older boxes were only useful for the most marginal users, but realistically, how many people need more than a 100MHz Pentium?
