Sure. But, is that the kids fault? We should remove as many barriers as possible so that the average kid has a better chance of 'making it'. Otherwise, we have a stagnant classed society.

We always hear the heartwarming story of the kid who 'make it out of the ghetto' by working harder and overcoming incredible odds. We don't always talk about the vast majority that are left behind.

As a country, we've imported a lot of brainpower from other countries. However, we've lost the ability to educate our own, at least to stay competitive globally. We often talk about our reliance on foreign oil and foreign capital. What about our reliance on foreign brainpower?
