Unfortunately we've probably sped up the process of those corrupt regimes being toppled by Islamic militants with our adventure in the ME.

Maybe.. but I'd like to believe we've forced them to finally quit sitting on the fence and acting like these elements aren't a threat to themselves..

We've forced the issue with regard to the Saudis having to face this threat. They are taking some actions (better than before), and even the Syrians are starting to recognize the danger of playing with "Militant Fire" by permitting them to use Syria as a base to support Zarqawi's activities in Iraq...

But there are powerful interests within these countries that will fight against any change..

My view is that we are proactively confronting the Islamic Militant threat and exposing it for what it truly is.. an intolerant and brutally violent religious Fascism that will kill anyone that opposes Jihad and recreation of the Caliphate.

And if we fail.. they maybe a full-scale mobilization and outright declaration of war will be necessary, with all the repercussions that would entail.

But I prefer to try and avoid that by all means possible..
