These "H1-Bs" are in effect indentured servants, dependent on their employers' good will for 6-year stints Not True. If the employee finds work conditions intolerable, he/she can file paperwork with one of about 5 Govt agencies. Also, they always have a choice to go back to their home country - nothing in US law, AFAIK, prevents them buying a plane tkt and boarding a plane.
