Art / all, Re: EU Complaint - Impact on QCOM share appreciation and>>

“. If there is a parallel here (ERICY action), it means that QCOM could be expected to perform no better than the overall market for the next couple of years--and that is really something to worry about.”

Exactly, and although some Q investors apparently minimize such (NOK6 action as “its just business”), my concern is over the impact of this “merit less” action on QCOM’s share price over the next year or two as yet another “wall of worry” has to be overcome.

I agree that despite this action, Qualcomm’s earnings should expand robustly as 3GSM (WCDMA/UMTS) ramps and QCOM’s share price should follow the EPS growth * to some degree*. However, with the “cloud” of the EU’s response hovering above, I suspect the PE multiple will not expand as it otherwise would.

IMO, the above was one of the prime motivating factors considered by the NOK6 in their action.

Not to worry QCOM investors, “its just business”!!
