Calling someone an Uncle Tom means that they are kissing up to white people in order to get ahead, even though the demands being placed on them are unreasonable.

"Uncle Tom" is in the eye of the beholder, and I've never yet heard a white person use this term.

On the other hand, I completely discount the people who claim that racism has been eradicated. They tend to be the same people who claim that the feminist movement has been highjacked by lesbian bull dykes and eternal malcontents.

In my judgment, these people never had any sympathy for civil rights in any way, shape or form to begin with.

It's hard enough to discuss intelligently what can be done to combat racism, sexism, and other prejudices, without dealing with the bad faith argument that these problems are all in the mind.

"I'm all right, Jack" is fine as far as you're talking about yourself, but teetering on the brink of narcissism and/or solipsism.
