Anyone have a response to this, it was posted on Yahoo ED board and concerns me: by: jimhamre 11/02/05 12:16 pm Msg: 5022 of 5025 You ask: "Can you explain to me why con ed & earlink invested so much in this so called failure?" Well the guy in charge of investing for Con Ed, Tim Frost, has an M&A background and is used to paying big bucks for on-going conerns, utilities supplying juics. He is NOT a Venture Capitalist, which is the kind of investment ABTG should be (new technology, no products and no revenues). If he was, JJJ and Ram would be long gone. You just cant be dicking around for 3-4 years without your OWN Intellectual Property (all the IP over power lines and routing technology is DS2's; ABTG's only card to play are the still-unproven Couplers Dr. Cern is promising). A real VC would have "taken care" of this by now. Earthlink's investment? Well, JJJ DOES have some salesman skills- how do you think he got himself $424K per year to run a company of 30 people (an half the R&D staff are college interns!!) with no revenues?
