The CIA instigated the investigation. Therefore I'm sure they consider the outing gravely damaged and endangered their work and their agents. If you think about what Libby-Rove did and extrapolate you start realizing this kind of outing is even worse than some terrorists blowing up a Humvee of ours in Iraq. These blown ID's can bring down entire covert operations. In short, it is treason. We will never know the specifics though because it's all highly classified. The rightwing ought to be ashamed of themselves now for smearing the Wilsons. Though I know they're desperate to blame someone else for this, they really should fess up, apologize and make amends. Rove should be fired and Cheney should step down.
