Now that is exactly the kind of thing I have been finding!

I too would welcome some evidence to the contrary. An expert opinion is, of course, a valued attribute and such expert opinions are sought in court proceedings to inform and enlighten those - the jurors, and the judge - in need of enlightenment.

So I do not dispose of an expert opinion lightly. I too prefer backup testimony. All too often the participants on either side of an issue are able to cherry pick those 'experts' that support their POV. And those in control - the judge and the jury must ascertain the 'truth' from the jumble presented to them from opposite viewpoints.

And so it is with the 'con' and 'scum' dilemma. Where is the truth? The truth can indeed be elusive.

But as with happiness the pursuit is the challenge.
