BPP, CUHK had some good computers. But the few labs that I visited
did not have good ones, they use 486s and I probably saw a few 286s, ouch. The secretaries were using 486 pc's running
Win3.x and Nescape 2.1. The labs close at
noon for lunch. But people there work real hard, I mean, in that weather that
was as hot as ... you name it. No, I did not see a SyJet. What really
disappointed me was that I did not see a SyJet in Golden Dept Store (MangKok),
where you are supposed to be able to find any kind of drives. I looked for that blue box very carefully. Zips, yes, everywhere. ShenZhen
was really another HK. What surprised me was, you can't find pirated
software vendors there any more. NOT A SINGLE ONE! Did not see a Syjet there
either. Somebody could lend me a pair of SyJet glasses? Probably 1.5 GB
is not supposed to be so visible... Zips, yes and I saw plenty of
